What is the Child and Adult Care Food Program?
The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federally funded nutrition program administered by the Kansas State Department of Education. This program reimburses for meals served to daycare children.
Who can participate in CACFP?
Any licensed, or group daycare home is eligible to enroll in the Child and Adult Food Program.
What is a sponsoring organization?
Sunshine Connections, Inc. is a non-profit organization sponsoring a Child and Adult Care Food Program covering North Western and Central Kansas. There is no cost to belong to the Child and Adult Care Food Program. All CACFP sponsoring organizations follow the same USDA regulations. So how is Sunshine Connections different?
